The Impact of Paid Family Leave on Child Maltreatment
The ImprintThe United States is among the few developed countries without a national paid family leave policy. But four states have had policies in place. Dr. Jenny Tanis of the Hope College School of Social Work and Dr. Sacha Klein of the MSU wanted to see what impact this had on infant maltreatment in those states compared to trends in other states.

Jacqueline Heisler of Holland, Michigan, who retired in 2006 as director of the Academic Success Center and adjunct assistant professor of psychology, died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024. She was 80.

Greg Stafford, Hope College’s longest-tenured women’s golf coach and one of the program’s most successful, is retiring after 16 seasons. He leaves a legacy of excellence on the course and transforming student-athlete lives, Director of Athletics Tim Schoonveld said.
